The Three Cuckoo Birds
By Seonhong Jung
Once Upon a time, there lived a Cuckoo birds family.
There were five Cuckoo birds in the Cuckoo birds family.
One day the mom and dad told the three little Cuckoo birds,
"There is no space left in our house! Bye!"
And they threw the three little Cuckoo birds out.
The three little Cuckoo birds flew for a long time.
One hour, two hours, three and a half hours, and then they landed on a cliff.
The first Cuckoo birds said, "Let's stay in here together."
And they all said, "okay."
So they made a house with sticks.
They wanted a swimming pool but decided to make it next time they moved.
The next day, they saw the small wolf who said, "Let's play! Come down or I will call my mother to eat you!! Yes, I mean you guys!!!"
But the first Cuckoo birds said, "If we come down, you will eat us!!"
The little wolf said, "Come down or I will blow your house down."
But the Cuckoo birds said "not by the feathers of our wings will we come down."
So the little Wolf blew the house down.
Now the Cuckoo birds had no where to go.
They flew to a near by cave and made a door for the cave that looked like this.
Actually, the cave was a Mouse's house(but he moved) so they moved to a cave near by that had a secret way.
They had nowhere else to go.
In a second, the Little Wolf said, "Open up or I will blow your house down with TNT."
"Okay, we will open up." said the Cuckoo birds.
So Cuckoo birds opened the door and flew to a school where they stayed.
(이야기가 생뚱맞아져서 물어보니 학교에는 wolf가 들어갈 수 없기 때문에 그곳으로 도망간 것이라고 함..)
The next day the Cuckoo birds were nice to the Little Wolf and the Little Wolf became a friend of the Cuckoo birds.
An hour after that, they went to Little Wolf's home and saw his mom.
"I am going to eat you." said Little Wolf's mom.
But the Cuckoo birds said, "Don't eat us, eat these."
And they threw three tamales at Little Wolf's mom who ate them and said,
"But I will still eat you!!"
Then, suddenly, Little Wolf came and stopped his mom from eating them and the Cuckoo birds were safe.
And they lived happily, but not ever after, because the Little Wolf disturbed the Cuckoo birds each night when they slept.
